Will it replace my current report software?
For most solo operators, yes. Fieldnote generates the same style of narrative report — photos, severities, recommendations — and you can import your existing branding. The exact comparison depends on your trade; see the page for your specialty above for software-by-software notes.
What happens when there's no signal on site?
Recording works offline. Photos and audio queue locally and upload when you're back in signal. The report generates once everything's uploaded.
Can I edit the AI's output before sending?
Yes. After generation, you review every finding in a list view, edit wording, change severity, add or remove items, and reorder. Then you send.
Is my data secure?
All recordings and reports are encrypted at rest and in transit. Your data is never used to train models. You can export or delete everything at any time.
How accurate is the transcription?
We use industry-leading speech recognition. In normal field environments, accuracy is 95%+. The review step lets you fix the rare mistake.
