Free tier first
Before paying anything, you can run Fieldnote on 3 real inspections at no cost. The free tier exists specifically so you can decide whether the service works for your workflow before committing money.
14-day money-back guarantee
If you upgrade to Pro and decide within 14 days of your first paid charge that Fieldnote isn't right for you, we will refund that month in full. No questionnaire, no friction.
The 14-day window starts on the date of your first successful Pro charge. It applies once per account.
After the 14-day window
We do not refund:
- Partial months when you cancel mid-cycle (you keep access until renewal date)
- Renewal charges that go through after your free 14 days
- Annual plans paid more than 30 days ago
If you forget to cancel and a renewal goes through within 7 days of your inquiry, email us — we may issue a one-time courtesy refund at our discretion.
Service issues
If Fieldnote experiences an extended outage that prevents you from generating reports, or if a critical feature documented in our marketing fails for you and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, we will issue a pro-rated refund or a service credit at your choice.
"Extended outage" means more than 24 hours of unavailability in a calendar month, not counting maintenance windows announced in advance.
Annual plans
Annual subscriptions can be refunded on a pro-rated basis within the first 30 days. After 30 days they are non-refundable, but you can cancel auto-renewal anytime to prevent the next year's charge.
How to request a refund
Email billing@fieldnote.pro with:
- The email address on your Fieldnote account
- Approximate date of charge
- One sentence explaining what isn't working (helps us improve, not required)
Refunds are processed within 5 business days. Funds typically appear back on your card within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
Payment processor
Fieldnote uses Paddle.com Market Limited as its merchant of record for payment processing. The actual refund is issued by Paddle on our behalf. The transaction will appear on your statement as PADDLE.NET* FIELDNOTE or similar.

Chargebacks
Please reach out to us before issuing a chargeback. We will work with you to resolve billing concerns within 48 hours. Chargebacks issued without contacting us first may result in account suspension and a permanent ban from re-subscribing.
